Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using www.devtoolshub.info ("DevToolsHub", "the site", "we", "our"), operated by Pankaj Kumar, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not use the site. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the service, including use from automated scripts, bots, or API clients.

2. Description of Service

DevToolsHub provides a free collection of browser-based developer utility tools (the "Service"). Tools include JSON formatting, JWT decoding, cryptographic hashing, Base64 encoding, URL encoding, code formatting, and related developer productivity functions. Some tools execute entirely in your browser; others process input in-memory on the server as part of the same live connection that renders the page; others call the DevToolsHub API, a backend service hosted on Microsoft Azure. See the Privacy Policy for the full processing model of each tool.

DevToolsHub also publishes a technical developer blog with articles about programming, security, and web development. Blog content may be submitted by third parties under the guest posting policy described in Section 9 of these terms.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use DevToolsHub only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. The following uses are explicitly prohibited:

  • Automated bulk requests: Using scripts, bots, crawlers, or any automated client to make requests to the DevToolsHub API at a rate that exceeds reasonable human usage or that degrades service quality for other users. Reasonable use is defined as no more than 60 API requests per minute per IP address for any single tool.
  • Scraping: Systematically copying, extracting, or republishing the site's tool UI, documentation, blog content, or InfoContent sections without prior written permission, whether by automated script or manual reproduction at scale.
  • Malicious input generation: Using the Hash Generator, Password Generator, or any tool to generate rainbow tables, brute-force word lists, or pre-computed credential tables for use in unauthorised system access.
  • Credential stuffing pipeline: Piping the output of any DevToolsHub tool into an automated credential-testing or account-takeover workflow.
  • Reverse engineering: Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or proprietary logic of the DevToolsHub API or backend services.
  • Interference with infrastructure: Attempting to disrupt, overload, or exploit the site's infrastructure, including denial-of-service attacks, vulnerability scanning without prior written authorisation, or injecting malicious payloads into tool inputs intended to exploit server-side processing.
  • Impersonation: Representing that a tool output produced by DevToolsHub was produced by your own service, or building a competing product that substantially replicates DevToolsHub's interface without transformation.
  • Illegal purposes: Using any tool or service output in connection with any activity that is unlawful under applicable law, including the Information Technology Act 2000 (India) and applicable laws of the user's jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to block, rate-limit, or permanently ban any IP address, user agent, or client that violates this Acceptable Use Policy without prior notice.

4. API Usage Terms

Several DevToolsHub tools call a backend API (the "DevToolsHub API") to perform server-side processing. Your use of the API through the DevToolsHub web interface is subject to these terms. Unofficial direct API access (bypassing the web interface) is not supported and may be rate-limited or blocked.

  • The API is provided as a supporting service for the web tools only. It is not a public API and we do not offer an API key, SDK, or developer tier.
  • API responses are for your personal use. You may not commercially redistribute, resell, or republish API output as a standalone service.
  • The API processes inputs transiently and does not retain them after returning a response (subject to the 24-hour operational log retention described in the Privacy Policy).
  • We may modify, deprecate, or remove any API endpoint at any time without notice.

5. No Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL TOOLS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  • Guarantees that tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or produce correct output in every circumstance.
  • Guarantees of uptime, availability, or response time. DevToolsHub is a non-critical developer utility; we do not offer SLAs.
  • Guarantees that tool output is suitable for use in production systems, legal proceedings, security audits, or any other high-stakes context without independent verification.

You should always independently verify tool output before relying on it in production systems, cryptographic implementations, legal documents, or any context where an error could cause harm.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DevToolsHub, its operator (Pankaj Kumar), and any affiliated contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or any tool output — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profit, business interruption, or security incidents — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content on this site — including but not limited to the tool UI design, InfoContent documentation, blog articles written by DevToolsHub, and the brand name "DevToolsHub" — is the intellectual property of Pankaj Kumar unless otherwise stated.

Your output belongs to you: Tool output generated from input you supply — formatted JSON, decoded JWT payloads, generated hashes, encoded Base64 strings, generated UUIDs — belongs entirely to you. DevToolsHub claims no intellectual property rights over tool outputs.

Permitted use: You may link to DevToolsHub pages, embed tool URLs in documentation, and cite DevToolsHub blog articles with attribution. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute substantial portions of the site's UI, InfoContent, or blog articles without prior written permission from [email protected].

DevToolsHub does not endorse any advertised product or service.

12. Service Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice or liability. We may add or remove tools, update the UI, change the underlying API, or migrate infrastructure. Downtime may occur due to maintenance, Azure infrastructure events, or unforeseen incidents. We do not provide uptime guarantees or service credits.

13. Force Majeure

DevToolsHub shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: internet outages, third-party infrastructure failures (Azure, Google, Cloudflare), natural disasters, government actions, power failures, cyberattacks, or any other event that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000 (as amended by the Information Technology (Amendment) Act 2008) and the Consumer Protection Act 2019. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. If you access the site from a jurisdiction with laws that conflict with these terms, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms at any time does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any term shall only be effective if made in writing and signed by an authorised representative of DevToolsHub.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy and Editorial Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DevToolsHub with respect to your use of the site and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations of any kind, whether written or oral.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, or our practices. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
